What is a Technical Services Specialist?

Our Technical Services Specialist are professional practitioners, educators, and advisers who work directly with farmers, companies, and others in the agriculture community to implement the latest methods and tools for growing crops profitably and sustainably. They often specialize in areas such as crop rotation, plant breeding, soil classification, permitting, weed control, and pest control.



  • Manage land base inventory to meet operational requirements and provide strategic growth for the business.
  • Prepare permit applications and NMP’s as needed for sites. This may include, but is not limited to:
  1. Soil and biosolids sampling
  2. Analytical interpretation and waste characterization
  3. Geomapping services
  4. Interpretation of soil, tax and topographical maps; and applicable regulations to determine land base acceptability and compliant product use
  • Cost-effective logistics and source destination management
  • Facilitate compliance with all regulatory and permit conditions.
  • Regulatory monitoring and reporting
  • Provide technical information and presentations to farmers, regulatory agencies, municipal clients and the general public as needed
  • Participate in professional and agricultural organizations as assigned
  • Manage customer and regulatory relations

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Environmental Science preferred
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Agricultural, Silvicultural or Environmental field
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Mapping Program
