Construction Owner Representative

Owner Representative will be responsible for management of construction projects to include new buildings and renovation of existing facilities.The ideal candidate should have over 5 years experience, preferably in the field of light duty construction and renovation. Experience in multi-family, light commercial, MEP and review of submittals is beneficial. Knowledge of CAD a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:

Clients include all Club and affiliate HOA’s as pertains to Reserve Study projects and the Developer for certain capital projects

Oversight of projects to maintain brand consistency

Carry out those directives passed down from the Director of Construction relating to those items regarding the construction process and policies and procedures for SRI and the accepted practices and standards of the construction industry.

Review submittals for conformance with plans and specifications in a timely manner.Provide feedback to Director of Construction regarding submittals.

Responsible for project management of large scale new construction and renovation projects; may also manage small projects under the supervision of Director of Construction. Solve field issues and make a determination as to viable solutions.Immediately implement those solutions subject to authority limit given in the policies and procedures.

Provide knowledge in plans checking and value engineering and make recommendations for improvements

Report unsafe activities to supervisor and/or human resources

On applicable projects, review incoming documents for accuracy, completeness and adherence to guidelines established. The review includes:

Requests for Change Orders: Insure that all information regarding an RFCO is properly interpreted, justified, implemented and properly routed through the system.

Requests for Payment: Review the rough draft and communicate the approval or deficiencies to the Director of Construction. Review the final document with the Director of Construction and assure that all required information is included.

Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
