FirstService Residential is currently seeking an HR Generalist at our Destin area Regional Office.

Rate of pay will be based on experience.


Perform functions to assistwith various aspects of Human Resources within assigned properties, includingrecruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits administration and compliance,guided by precedent and working within the limits of established policies.

EssentialDuties Responsibilities

  1. Serve as HumanResources contact for assigned properties. Respond to employee and managementinquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

  2. Ensure compliancewith HR related federal, state and local requirements and regulations,including but not limited to, Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, I-9s, FLSA, EEO and FCRA.

  3. Provide supportwith employee relation counseling and related activities. Assist management inthe implementation and communication of employee handbooks, policies,procedures and provide interpretation as needed. Participate in theinvestigation of employee complaints.

  4. Assist with thepopulation and maintenance of the Human Resource Information System.

  5. Partner with HR Corporate to administer functions inthe areas of training and employee development, compensation and benefits.Coordinate daily transactions within properties and provide guidance andassistance to employees with research, questions and concerns. Participate in the annual benefits enrollmentand performance evaluations processes.

  6. May administer the recruiting process for specifiedproperties. Place advertisements for job openings in approved sites. Receive,acknowledge, review, and file applications. Set interview appointments, andperform background checks and document findings. Maintain electronicapplication tracking system.

  7. Coordinate the on-boardingprocess. Complete and maintain necessary documentation and may coordinate andconduct new hire orientation.

  8. Coordinate thetermination process including conducting exit interviews and completingnecessary documentation.

  9. Maintain employee files and records while complying with legalrequirements to protect employee privacy.

  10. Coordinate employee events and activities.

  11. Maintain awareness of legal requirements andgovernment reporting regulations affecting human resources functions. Generateand file all required reports as needed.

  12. Assist with other support activities and specialprojects as needed to maintain workflow and efficiency within the HumanResources functions.

AdditionalDuties Responsibilities

  1. Conduct business at alltimes with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.

  2. Perform or assist with anyoperations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notifysupervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need foradditional material and supplies.

  3. May participate in anyvariety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicateissues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level ofknowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, andregulatory guidelines.

  4. Ensure all safetyprecautions are followed while performing the work.

  5. Follow all policies andStandard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.

  6. Perform any range of specialprojects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
